Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FAAS) is used for the quantitative determination of metals after chemical digestion of the sample.

Loss on Ignition (LOI) determines the amount of volatile substances present in the mineral material. 

During the test, the sample is heated in a muffle furnace to temperatures close to 1000 °C, promoting the release of water, carbon dioxide, and other volatile substances. 

The method allows for the evaluation of:
